The curriculum set, “Cognitive Lesson Plans for Ages 3-5, Year 1” is a collection of 52 lessons that will equip children with the skills and motivation to become economically self-supporting. The curriculum is contextualized for Africa, and uses age appropriate verbiage, activities, and illustrations to cultivate vocational interests and help children understand their own unique gifts and talents. These lessons create a foundation of life skills, such as problem solving, community awareness, and reading readiness upon which to build. All lesson plans include instructions for preparing the material, teaching the lesson with hands-on activities, and assessment of learning. This set of lessons is designed to accompany “Cognitive Lesson Plans for Ages 3-5, Year 2.”
